Joining Archidex to Encourage Adaptation of Energy-Saving Building Management Systems 

White Umbrella joins Archidex 2022 under Intelligent Building Systems & Technology situated at Hall 6 in KLCC. Today’s commercial and industrial buildings are energy hogs; buildings consume up to 40% of the total global energy. By the year 2030, consumption is expected to increase to 50%. In Malaysia, buildings consume a total of 48% of the electricity generated in the country. Commercial buildings consume up to 38,645 Gigawatts (GWh) while residential buildings consume 24,709 GWh. 

This is largely because for years, commercial real estate developers have prioritized factors like ease of access to clients and suppliers, proximity to consumers, and cost savings from a single utility bill over more substantial considerations such as energy efficiency. 

In response to this trend toward new commercial buildings that are less sustainable and more wasteful, savvy builders across the nation are embracing systems that promote a greener solution for their properties.
